RESNET Professional Liability Insurance
RESNET members are eligible for a Home Energy Rater Professional Liability insurance policy.
The Professional Liability coverage offered to RESNET members provides the following options:

The above examples represent the basic rates for an individual Rater. Basic Rates for Home Inspectors are approx. $1,900* for a $1,000,000 limit and $1,750* for a $500,000 limit.
The following items will be required in order to bind coverage:
- A completed application
- A copy of a resume if the Rater has less than three years experience
- A copy of a standard contract used with clients
- If you have had a past claim, detailed description regarding the incident
This coverage is provided on a Claims-Made basis. Prior acts coverage can be provided with acceptable proof of prior coverage and up to 15 Additional Insureds may be added at no additional charge.
